“Hang my locket around your neck, wear my ring on your finger. Love is invincible facing danger and death. Passion laughs at the terrors of hell. The fire of love stops at nothing - it sweeps everything before it. Flood waters can't drown love, torrents of rain can't put it out. Love can't be bought, love can't be sold - it's not to be found in the marketplace.” - Song of Songs 8:6-7 (MSG)
So, you want to stand out among others in the marketplace? Then do something that is rare in the marketplace, something that customers can hardly find in the marketplace: invincible love.
That love that stops at nothing.
That love that is not overcome by criticisms, backlashing, rejection, or failed sales attempts.
That love that prevails and endures all things.
That same kind of love I have experienced from the One who sought me and ultimately succeeded in winning my heart. 😍

8 Special Ways to Make Customers Fall in Love With Your Business - Part II
He genuinely loved me and showed me kindness with no strings attached. He loved me unconditionally.
6. Unconditional Customer Service
When someone shows you kindness, what is the litmus test to determine whether it's pure kindness or if there's a hidden agenda? Does the person want anything in exchange for the favor that was shown? What do you think?
I believe you'll know it's genuine when you've done something wrong or hurt that person and the response has been to still bless you. But if that person reacts negatively, it probably means that he or she was counting on you to do something that you weren't able to.
The first scenario demonstrates unconditional kindness and with this idea, you can deliver customer service that your clients will love you for.
Let’s define what we mean by unconditional customer service.
- It means that regardless of the situation or a customer's reaction, you continue to give the same level of service with grace and kindness.
- It means that the customer's needs and wants are placed first, regardless of their behavior or attitude toward you.
- It means that you put aside any personal feelings or discomfort and put yourself in the customer's shoes to be able to provide the best service possible.
- It means striving to meet the customer's needs without any judgment or expectations attached.
How do you render unconditional customer service?
When providing unconditional customer service, it is important to demonstrate genuine empathy and compassion. Listening attentively, responding with respect, and being mindful of customers’ feelings are all keys to rendering this type of service. It is also essential to remain patient and understanding, even in difficult situations. Additionally, going the extra mile to meet your customers’ needs and provide them with exceptional experiences is a vital part of providing unconditional customer service.
Let me give you some examples:
- Offering up personalized solutions by finding creative ways to provide customers with unique experiences that are tailored specifically for them.
- Following up with customers to ensure their satisfaction or ensure they were able to resolve their issues.
- Going out of your way to know customers’ names.
- Being proactive in offering solutions by taking the initiative to address issues before customers have a chance to bring them up.
- Displaying positive body language when speaking with customers, such as making eye contact and smiling, and always speaking kindly and respectfully.
- Taking the time to listen actively to customer complaints, feedback, and requests in order to truly understand their needs and help them in the best way possible.
- Offering customers a range of solutions to their problems, even if it means referring them to another service provider.
- Going above and beyond the call of duty, such as sending a personal thank-you note or providing additional discounts or services as a form of appreciation.
- Taking ownership of customers’ issues and being willing to apologize and make amends when mistakes are made as well as doing whatever it takes to make them feel heard and valued.
- Going the extra mile and surprising them with something they didn't even know they wanted (e.g. free shipping, personalized gift after their purchase)
He always knows how to make me smile, and he's always there for me when I need a lift.
7. Entertaining and Encouraging Customers
Customers are humans, and humans are big bags of emotion. You can win their affection by meeting their emotional needs and showing concern for how they're feeling, either by providing timely words of encouragement or by providing a source of lighthearted entertainment. This will make them feel welcome and cared for. Whether it's adding a humorous comment to the conversation or finding a way to surprise them with unexpected gestures, it creates a positive experience for them. You can also send them encouraging e-mails or texts from time to time to show you're thinking of them and that you genuinely care about them. These actions will establish lasting relationships with them, too.
In marketing, you can entertain your intended audience by creating fun and interesting content. You can encourage them by publishing content that inspires and motivates them in a way that resonates with them (e.g. helpful tips and advice on how to achieve their goals). Another way to do this is by sharing messages on social media that will uplift them in the face of economic crises and disheartening news or current events.
He guaranteed my salvation. He made me feel secure.
8. Providing Risk-Free Offers
Humans desire security, and again, customers are humans. If you could meet their need to feel secure, you'd be well on your way to winning their affection.
Customers feel secure when presented with risk-free offers. When there is no risk involved, they feel more at ease and confident in making purchases. Offering free shipping, free returns, money-back guarantees, and loyalty programs are great ways to give your customers the security they crave. Giving your customers the assurance that they will be taken care of and their money won't be wasted is a surefire way to show them you value their trust. These risk-free offers are also great for building rapport with potential consumers and keeping existing ones loyal.
So, there you have it—the 8 Special Ways to Make Customers Fall in Love With Your Business!
At this point, I want you to understand that although these methods are surely effective, it may take time to finally see the outcomes from implementing them, just as sometimes it takes time to develop our feelings for someone. While it's true that there are times when we fall in love at first sight, it's also true that there are times when we just get to love the person as we get to know him or her. I suggest that you make the most out of that period by allowing your business to be known by your target audience. Show them all of the things they will love about your business—all the ways they could benefit from your products and services, as well as how sincere you are about helping them and meeting their needs. Make them feel they are loved, valued, heard, and cared for. Exceed their expectations. Do wonders. Foster a sense of security. And most importantly, forget about sales for a moment and just have your customers' best interests in mind. Remember, "Love begets love." Sow love and you will harvest love. Love your customers unconditionally; that's the way to go!
